Senior RF Design Engineer

The Role:

Company seeks a Senior RF Engineer with prior experience in handset RF design to design RF System for smartphone products. Responsibilities will include defining system performance specifications. Vendor investigation and component selection. Simulation and design of cellular telephony system. Layout, bring up, validation / test, type approval and carrier certification, transfer to manufacturing, support of product in field.

Qualifications:

• Design experience of cellular telephone radios for GSM / GPRS / EDGE, CDMA 1xRTT, EVDO, UMTS.

Skills/Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience designing cellular telephone radios.
• Deep knowledge of RF transceivers, power amplifier, and other components of cellphone radios.
• Specification of and integration with antenna sub-systems.
• Integration with firmware.
• Hands on experience with RF test equipment.
• Direct experience working on type approval / carrier certification process of cellphone products.
• Experience with antenna design a plus.
• WiFi 802.11 b/g design and integration a plus.

Education:

• Candidate should have BSEE.
• MSEE preferred.
• Emphasis on analog / RF / microwave circuit design.
