Manager, Advanced Development and Architecture (Home Entertainment Division)

The Company:

Leading consumer electronics company headquartered in Massachusetts seeks a highly motivated Manager to lead Advanced Development and Architecture for high end consumer electronics products. Best known for their audio technology research and cutting edge products, this company is privately held and has been at the forefront of innovative technology and engineering for many years.

The Role:

This person will establish a center of expertise which performs advanced development and does system architecture of highly innovative home entertainment products. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of how CD, DVD, and music storage products are engineered. The group size will be around 8, largely hardware engineers who have detailed understanding of systems with embedded software.

Management responsibilities will include direction setting, hiring, performance appraisal, and whatever is required to choose appropriate architectures for our products. As time allows, individual contribution to architecture will be the norm.

Requirements:

Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of managing a product design group and must have 10 years of experience as a product designer. Design for high volume products is a plus. Exerience with embedded systems and analog hardware design is a must.

Education:

BSEE or BSCS, is required. MS is preferred.
